Some plants are aromatic. Lavender smells nice and we use it in perfumes.
Some plants are medicinal. We use lime blossom to make relaxing tea.
Some plants taste nice. We use parsley as a condiment in cooking.

1.- The roots absorb water and minerals.
2.- Water goes through the stems to the leaves.
3.- The leaves absorb sunlight.

DECIDIOUS TREES AND EVERGREEN TREES

DECIDIOUS TREES
Decidious trees lose their leaves in Autumn: the leaves change colour and fall to the ground. The leaves grow again in spring.
EVERGREEN TREES
Evergreen trees do not lose their leaves in Autumn. They are green all year.

TREES, BUSHES AND GRASS

Trees have a thick, hard stem called a trunk. The trunk has branches.
Bushes have a lot of stems. The stems are thin and grow from the ground.
Grass is thin and bendy.
